UNITED JAZZ TRIO

Jim and Rickard’s friendship and musical collaboration began over 20 years ago in Hong Kong, where they met and played together for 10 years. They have worked in many different contexts, both as a duo and in larger ensembles. Both Jim and Rickard compose music, and they primarily perform their own compositions but also favorite pieces by other artists. Over the years, they have worked with major international jazz stars such as Pee Wee Ellis, Randy Brecker, Roy Hargrove, Dennis Chambers, Uri Caine, Ulf Wakenius, Magnus Lindgren, Rigmor Gustafsson, and Nils Landgren. Jan Heidenberg has been part of the trio for 10 years, and together they have played in the Nordic countries, t he Baltics, and Asia. Together, the trio creates new exciting soundscapes where the narrative is always present for the listener to follow.
